Xbox 360 Fall Update to Bring Parental Timer

Rumor has it that the bi-annual Xbox 360 firmware update set to hit this fall will bring with it a number of interesting updates, chief among them a new Parental Timer.

Sources tell me that the update will allow people to set a password protected usage timer on their Xbox 360s. In other words, parents or loved ones will be able to limit the amount of time someone can game on the system during a given time period.

Xbox 360 Running Ubuntu

It’s yet another movie where someone is running Linux on his Xbox 360, however this is a bit diffrent from previusius videos. First, Ubuntu is my favorit Linux dustro, which I found a far more useful than MS Windows. Second, this clip actually shows running X11 with (I think) GNOME on it. GDM is running and session applications are running very slow however there are no errors, app menu is accesiable.

PS. Just noticed that this is Edubuntu, an Ubuntu variation.

While ago I watched movie based on Frank Miller comic book 300 and I have really enjoyed it. That’s why I’m so excited to post this. On a picture below you can see limited edition of Xbox 360 Elite – 300. There are just 10 like this one on the planet and all were given away on a Comic-con.
